Flocking Powder

03/07/2013 15:02

Hi everyone,

Today flocking powder is very popular, unfortunately where I come from it costs about $30 for one small pot of flocking powder with matching nailpolish. On BPS a set like this costs $18,99: https://www.bornprettystore.com/pink-flocking-velvet-powder-manicure-nail-polish-sweet-color-base-coat-brush-p-4466.html

However I did not feel it was necessary to buy a set with a matching nailpolish colour. When I tried the flocking powder on my nails i did start to understand why people want matching polish because u do leave small empty spaces which can be very frustrating. These open spaces are not visible when you apply the special polish first.

This is the flocking poweder i got: https://www.bornprettystore.com/flocking-velvet-powder-manicure-nail-nail-polish-colors-p-4507.html
Which only cost me $5,80.

I bought one of these flocking powder bottles you can see in the link however i got two sent to me. This is because they had run out of the big bottles and decided to send me two small ones instead. I do not mind them having done this because the amount is still the exact same and so is the colour :)

As you can probably see in the photographs the powder is very fine thus making it easier to stick to your nails when the polish is still wet.

My overall opinion of this product is: It's a fun product and I understand why its so popular these days. When it's on your nails and the polish underneath has dried it is so soft and hard not to touch. However I did find it a challenge to apply it but this is most likely due to my lack of experience.
